Anyone else?
Is it just me or does anyone else think call waiting is rude?
I have a friend I've known for 18 years now and we speak about once every couple of weeks and she always leaves at least twice during our brief conversations to take other calls. Sometimes she doesn't come back. I'm about done with that!

Well, using it that way is rude. I do like having call waiting because sometimes I'm on the phone for long conversations and I want my hubby or whoever to be able to get through to me if it's important, but I only take call waiting if it's someone I know and I know I can make it quick. I try to tell the person that I click over to that I'm on the other line so I can't talk. Sounds like she needs voice mail and not call waiting, though!
Call waiting can be VERY annoying. Another annoying thing, having a conversation on a phone with some one while ordering food, or dealing with a store clerk of any kind.
