Monday holidays! No school today. And, my kids' school is so awesome because they always do teacher inservice on the Friday before a Monday holiday so we get a four day weekend. How cool is that?

Hey, we've got school holidays too! But for me, that means picking up the girls at the airport, getting one girl to soccer practice and the other to a playoff game- AT THE SAME TIME!!

Yeah awesome for you guys, but gosh I hated inservices right before a long weekend...lol!
Another of my teacher friends and I were talking about this and she loves it! She says that inservice is so much easier and less taxing than actually teaching that she deosn't mind it at all before the long weekend.

I just think it's not fair that the kids aren't there and we have to be...lol. But I'd usually rather teach than sit in mostly boring inservices. Once in awhile they were worthwhile, and I enjoyed them but rarely. They must get better ones than we did.
I'd have to agree with karin, I'd much rather be interacting with the kids, than adults. Adults can sometimes bore me.
