I don't get it...

As I was driving yesterday, I saw no less than 5 bumper stickers proclaiming in some way that the female occupant of the car was a bitch. These stickers were very pretty, some with roses on them and beautiful script. I just don't understand what is beautiful about being a bitch? Why would you a) want to be one and b) if you are, want the world to know it?

bitch[1,noun]bitch[2,verb]bitch goddessson of a bitch
1 : the female of the dog or some other carnivorous mammal
2 a : a lewd or immoral woman b : a malicious, spiteful, or domineering woman -- sometimes used as a generalized term of abuse
3 : something that is highly objectionable or unpleasant
4 : complaint

Some of these cars even had children in them. That's what I want my first grader to go to school and say...
"What does your mommy do?"
"she's a bitch!"

is this something some women aspire to? Is this how they want to raise their daughters? I'm all about standing up for yourself and not letting people take advantage of you but I really believe in the old adage about catching more flies with honey and I strive to be kind. I may not always achieve this goal as I would like, but in my heart that's how I want to live my life and what I really want to model for my children. I know I'm not alone. Anyone else disturbed by this?

I'm pretty much irritated by any bumper stickers that have profanity or near profanity on them. I understand freedom of speech, but it's pretty hard to avoid seeing bumper stickers when you're driving and to me it's very close to invading my rights to NOT have to see or hear it. Sometimes I just wanna take a can of spray paint and have at it. Which doesn't necessarily have anything to do with what you wrote about, but yeah, these things irritate me too! lol!

Oh, I agree. And wait until Little Girl learns to read! Isn't it MY choice to decide when or if my children are exposed to those words? I understand that they will be exposed at some point at school probably, but to explain those words to a newly reading child? ARGH!

I have no idea why some women are proud to label themselves as a bitch.

I'm with you, you can get more by being nice and when the time comes be firm and make it known that you won't put up with anything but you are going to be ladylike about it.

I am also raising my daughter to be nice, have respect for others and their property, and trying to instill in her something my grandma always told me, If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all.

I haven't seen any of those bumber stickers, but have seen others out there are so bad too. It seems so awful to be to have that on a bumber sticker. It's kinda scary to think what kind of woman, would put/ or want that on her car. Hopefully it's an awful dafe or something.
