Think He Knew???

The Teenager is grounded. Meaning he needs to come straight home from school. He's usually home before I leave to get the other kids, but today he wasn't. I knew he was getting a ride with a friend, but then he's usually home even earlier. So, I call his phone 3 times before he answers. Then he's a little pissy with me that I kept calling. Then he says "So and So had a meeting after school, but I'll be home in a minute." I said nothing, not a word, not a sigh, not a sound. He finally hung up. When I got home?
