Flashback Friday: Spreading the News

Go over to Karin's to play. You know you want to!

The Princess was a surprise. To everyone but me. We had one night without proper precaution and I knew from the moment it happened that I was pregnant. I just felt it. I waited until the day before my birthday, which was the day before my period was due to take the test. It was immediately positive. as I knew this would be the last pregnancy, I wanted to tell Mark in a really special way, but keeping stuff from my husband is so not easy for me. We were planning to go to dinner with his family that night for my birthday, so I wanted to wait until after dinner when I could tell him alone. I wrote a really cheesy poem about our family expanding and attached the HPT to it. We went alone to our room when we got home and I let him read the poem, while I took pictures. I have a picture of my husband finding out about our final baby. The expression on his face is priceless and wonderful! The next day we told the kids and I also had the camera ready. The kids told my mom and Mark's parents and we got pictures of them hearing the news for the first time as well. I have a whole scrapbook page of everyone's expressions the instant we told them the news. It is wonderful and so special to be able to see that again and again! She will have a concrete example of everyone's joy at the announcement of her being!

I remember when you told me, too! It was in the church courtyard and you whispered it in my ear...lol! Yay for Princess :)

Karin, I don't remember whispering it to you, but I do remember what I said. Something along the lines of "Remember how you said it would be fun to be pregnant together? Well you better get going!"lol!

Well maybe it wasn't a total whisper, but you did tell me quietly and on the sly because you didn't want everyone else to know yet...lol! So, it only took me three years to catch up. ;)

I suspected when we were at Red Robin, and wasn't totally suprised when Mark called.
