ARGH!

Last night in the ER, the doctor said to make sure to follow up with our pediatrician in the next 2-3 days. So this morning I start calling at 8:00. I know Mondays are bad to try to get through, but he needed this appointment. So, finally at 9:40 I get through. To wait on hold for 16 minutes. When the scheduler answers she tells me that they don't do follow ups for stitches unless it looks like it's getting infected. At which point all of my bitchiness from lack of sleep last night, worrying about my boy, trying for over an hour to get through and being on hold for 16 minutes decided to rear it's ugly head. "Well", I said, "Since this is a human bite wound and since the ER doctor insisted that my child be seen by his pediatrician in the next 2-3 days, I'll need you to schedule an appointment anyway." Hmph! Don't mess with the mama of a wounded cub!
