ARGH!
Last Monday I realized that I was running low on my thyroid meds and had no refills left. I just had my levels checked a couple of weeks ago and they were perfect so I didn't think it would be a problem to get more meds without seeing the Dr. I called the office last Monday and the person I spoke to said that she didn't think it would be a problem either. I never heard a word. Today I took my last pill. I called the pharmacy just to check and make sure my new prescription was there or there was a refill or something. Nope, nothing there. I called the Dr's office and have been unable to reach a human being, but as I left a voice mail for the nurse the recording said "as of September 2004, we will no longer be able to refill prescriptions without an office visit." WTF? Why did no one 1) tell me that when I called or 2) call me to tell me when they figured it out? I don't know what's going to happen now, but I do know I am out of my meds and we all know that I am much better when I am on them!

Well, they might give you at least enough of a refill to get you through until you can get in and see him, but um yeah, you'd think whoever you spoke to would know that wouldn't you? I hate when you can't talk to a person at the dr's office. It's one thing I love about my ob/gyn - a real person ALWAYS answers the phone...lol!
Well, in all fairness, I did talk to the receptionist, but she couldn't do anything. I meant that I couldn't reach anyone who could help. BUT it appears it was all the fault of whoever answered the phone at the Target Pharmacy this morning. The medicine is there with 3 months worth of refills as well! The nurse called back while I was driving very upset because she called the meds in on Tuesday and she thought I had been without since last week.
Well then Target is stupid! lol! BAD Target! Glad you got your meds though :)
