Why I Rarely Go to Church When Mark is Gone!

Because my mom, as dear as she is, is the grandma and has no control over the children. Now, granted, my children are typically extremely well behaved at church and they really were tonight, but I kept seeing them doing stuff and cracking up. Which is not so good since, as a member of the choir, I am in front of the congregation. And so, not only can I see my kids teasing each other during Mass, but I can see the other people around them laughing at them as well. It's all a bit distracting for me!

In other exceedingly boring news, do you think it's possible to pull a muscle in your hand? Sometime this week I was getting something out of my dresser and felt like I spread my index and middle finger too far apart. It sill hurts, like a torn or pulled muscle. And boy do i feel like an idiot that I pulled something in my HAND! Ugh!

I think you can pull a muscle anywhere, although some places are much harder than others...lol!

And I didn't notice your kids being silly. Of course that might be because I was tired and trying to concentrate so I didn't screw up...lol! But also, I really do think that we as parents are much more distracted and stressed out by what our kids are doing than anyone else is...lol!

I didn't see them messing around at all. And I'm usually good at keying in a little kids I can tease, haha. Maybe you just noticed it more because you were up there and mark wasn't down there to smack them when needed. I know that happens to me with my sisters. I notice when they sneeze wrong if my parents aren't down there wtih them.

Our muscles always find a way to let us know when they don't want to do something. Sounds like our children!

I didn't notice your children doing anything out of their normal wonderful behavior. I was busy trying to spread my evil mother look between Julia and the middle schooler because they were sitting on opposite sides of the congregation. I remember leaving Rochelle, Jessica, and Julia (A wasn't around yet) sitting in the second row while I was singing with the 9:00 choir and giving them the evil eye if they even thougt of blinking. David would get home from work about 7 am and wouldn't be able to go to church with us to sit between all 3 of them! The girls and I laugh about it now, because their storys are so exagerated....lol!
