Candy Clay

Today's project was making Candy Clay which can be used like regular clay for sculpting, but can also be eaten! The kids had a great time with it, both the sculpting and the eating!
Candy Clay:
1 pound powdered sugar
1/3 cup corn syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup margarine, softened
1 tsp. vanilla extract (or any extract of your choosing)
food coloring
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl until blended. If the mixture is too sticky, add more powdered sugar.
ENJOY!!

Looks messy and fun! No wonder the kids liked it :)
wow. I'll have to try that. here is one for you
1 cup flour
3/4 cup salt
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup cooking oil
Food coloring
What to do:
Place the flour, salt and oil in a mixing bowl and stir with a wooden
spoon.
Combine water and food coloring then gradually add the colored water
to the flour mixture.
When you have created things with the clay, you can bake them to
harden the clay. Put the oven on low heat (300ºF/150ºC) and bake
for 1-2 hours...
