Scary Day
My 2.5 year old charge(G) took a mighty big tumble today. In a scenario that's too hard to explain in writing, she tumbled out the open van door into the garage floor, face first. I was on the opposite side of the van, putting the baby in so we could go get the Princess from school. I rushed over and picked G up and saw immediately that her nose was swelling rapidly, her face was all scratched up and she was bleeding like crazy. I stopped the bleeding as much as I could and called her dad. He rushed over and took her to urgent care. Eventually they sent them to the ER, as her nose was so swollen they needed to do a ct scan.
Praise God, she is now on her way home from the hospital with her parents. They are really acting amazing about the entire thing. That's really good since I'm beating myself up enough for all of us...

I know you feel awful, but it's not your fault. Stuff happens - sometimes it's small and sometimes it's scary. But you're only human and it's not like you were in any way being negligent. I'd be really disappointed in them if they weren't being good about it.
And remember, our Father doesn't keep us from being hurt either, but He is there to comfort us when we fall, just as you were there for G. *hugs*
Oh, NO! Is it broken? I'm glad the parents didn't freak out on you. Kids , especailly toddlers are clumsy.
