Are You Kidding Me??
This story illustrates so much of what is wrong with our world these days. It's all about people not taking responsibility for themselves or their children. Therefore schools make asinine rules and there is no tolerance for children behaving like :::gasp::: children!!
The schools and districts feel like they need to police food because lazy assed parents allow their children to sit around watching TV all damn day and feed them crap that makes them fat. Parents don't do their jobs and then government comes in and makes schools take over. Administrators feel the need to live by the letter of the law in order to keep their jobs. The stupidity is mind boggling!

Well, I guess the bright side is that she reversed her decision. But holy cow. Candy? Maybe if it was DRUGS or a GUN or something like that. But good grief. Let's suspend a kid because he bought some evil, dangerous, deathly, mind-altering candy? Ridiculous.
Food bans are a big issue at Sunrise, but so far the kids can have sweets and other party foods in the last 45 minutes of the day. And PTO can still sell candy after school, I'm waiting to hear that we can't do that any more.
