How is this even possible???
I've been reading with great interest and disbelief articles pertaining to the safe haven law in Nebraska. You know the one, where several teenagers have been dropped off, including 5 17 year olds. I'm not saying there weren't days when dropping off a 17 year old might have seemed like a good idea (for 5 minutes. I never would have done it!lol!), but there's no way on earth that he would have STAYED!! That's what I don't get. What is wrong with these kids that they would stay like that when their parents dumped them. I know mine wouldn't. I'm even reasonably confident that the 7 year old would pitch the biggest fit known to man, much less the 10 and 13 year olds. And Bubba? Would have beaten me out of the parking lot.

You know, I've seen those articles, but I never thought of it that way. It's all a little weird. Number one, yes sometimes teenagers can be a pain in the rear, but the parent is still the parent and needs to behave as such. Number two, you're right. Why would any teenager actually stay? Doesn't make a lot of sense. And not only would Bubba have beaten you out of the parking lot, I don't know how you'd have gotten him in the car in the first place if he knew where he was going...lol!
I've not seen this articles. I guess the parents must care about them enough to attempt to drop them off instead of just kicking them out of house and letting them live on the streets.
