6 months and counting
So my back still hurts (well, really mostly my leg and hip but it's back related). It's been over 6 months now that every day I've been in pain. Some days severe, some not as bad. I went back to the Dr. on Wednesday and he gave me some meds and also a referral for some xrays, which I had done today. Hopefully we'll get some news sometime next week. If it is what they think it probably is, we're going to have to talk about surgery. I'm really not wanting to go down that path. I've never known anyone who had a back surgery that was okay afterwards. And that really scares me.
In other news, in the last two weeks, two people I know have had their houses broken into while they were away during the day. Yesterday was one of SB's good friends who lives right down the street from the school. Her mom is a teacher at our school and the daughter went home with her sister after school (without the mom) and found the mess. They took major stuff from this house. Computers, ipods, complete jewelry boxes. So scary!
In happier news...we're getting our tree tomorrow! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I was googling around a little the other day and ran across a few things. I'm sure you've googled before, but have you ever thought about a chiropractor? I've never been and I don't know how you feel about them, or whether they could even do anything, but it might be an alternative to surgery. Just a thought. I really want you to feel better!
And yay for the tree! Wish we would get ours, too! :)
My friend Pam - back surgery and is even stronger and pain free. I will have to give you her info.
Her goal is to hike the Grand Canyon when she is strong enough. She is a year out.
My nuero doc said think about seeing a chiropractor too. Our insurance doesn't cover very much on chiropractic care. It really did help my tail bone. I just want to try to make it through until January.
Call your insurance it's worth a try.
Pat has been working on our tree all day, well, his day started much later than mine.
